I met someone who was in my Chinese 40 class my junior year at the Environmental Business Council‘s Career Fair yesterday, and she shares my optimistic enthusiasm for China. She sent me the above article. We are talking about the next China project, and her training is in Economics, with a special interest in China, so her input will be invaluable.

Also of interest, the Asia Society and the Pew Center on Global Climate Change recently published A Roadmap for U.S.-China Cooperation on Energy and Climate Change. This is a 58-page document about the potential benefits of further collaboration between the two countries on the issue of climate change. I haven’t looked too closely yet, but many of my contacts are cited as authors or collaborators, so it is in-line with certain aspects of our film. I sent the document to Ben for inclusion in our movie.
